5 Months Old!!

Asa is officially 5 months today! Where in the world has the time gone? Every parent says that and I'm now beginning to understand why. As far as accomplishments - he's almost sitting up on his own, he rolls every which way, plays more with Amara now and still constantly smiles and laughs. We love this guy.

Naphtali had her camera at dinner when Asa decided that he no longer wanted boring rice cereal. He didn't scream, but made every face imaginable to communicate that he did NOT like it.

Bray and Kajsa Visit

Bray and Kajsa came this past weekend since Bray was performing in Spokane. We decided to celebrate Mom's bday with just the girls and babies by going up to Spokane! We enjoyed lunch at Twigs, shopped downtown and had a great time. (My camera's batteries died, so these are Kajsa's pics. Go visit her blog for more pictures!)

Asa's First Solids

Asa started solid foods a couple weeks ago. He started lapping the rice cereal out of the bowl since the spoon didn't provide enough.

Party Kids

Asa and Amara have really begun interacting. Amara is quite fascinated with him, and being older she already is the leader... hitting him, grabbing his ear, etc... We currently believe she's under the impression that Asa is just another toy to assist with teething.

Amara: "I heard the best joke the other day." Asa: "Really, really? that's it... come on."

Ama's Bday

We celebrated my Mom's birthday on Tuesday. Asa and Amara got dressed up in birthday hats, Naphtali and I made dinner, and we all played some Apples to Apples. Happy Bday Mom!

More fun at Flathead!

Beach Bum

We went to Flathead Lake the last few days to visit Rachel Ryan, a good friend of ours. We trailered up the boat and spent a couple days enjoying the sun and water! Asa was a champ and hung out on the boat and dock with us all day - not crying once! It was a great trip, despite the flat tire that our trailer got in the middle of the thunderstorm on the way home. We just enjoyed a better and wetter view of the weather!

4 Month Stats

Asa handled another set of shots wonderfully. He barely whined after the first one and then screamed for the rest but as soon as the nurse picked him up he gave her and me a huge smile. What a buddy.

He now weighs 15lbs 11oz (putting him in the 75th percentile) and is 27in long (putting him in the 97th percentile- one tall guy!).

Last night Asa got to attend his first birthday celebration (Maggie Creason turned 2) and although he couldn't eat the party favors he spent a long time playing with the bag.
