Cranberry Upside Down Coffee Cake
We discovered this recipe last year and made it for Christmas Breakfast. It has become a tradition for us (with this being it's second year!). The original recipe is from Cooking Light. This year I remembered that I had inherited some Christmas Tree pans from my Grandma and decided to try making it in those. I use dried cranberries instead of dates (makes it a more uniform red), omit the walnuts (when my mom will be eating it), and omit the butter in the glaze - adding a little milk instead.

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth....
Asa cut one top tooth. Hopefully the second follows soon or we'll have a small hillbilly on our hands. The Hellengas and Grandma came in to town for the weekend so Asa's gotten to meet more extended rels!

Seth and Naphtali won....
I bought a gingerbread house mold to bake these in and it worked great! I used the Pepparkakor recipe from below so they'll taste delicious too. Seth and Naphtali won the best looking house this year...
