13 Months

Asa's 13 months old today!! He is still not walking solo. He's got to hold onto someone's hand, but we're trying. He's mastered the cheesy grin, added some new words, "cracker, Po-ppy, cheese," and loves watching Leapfrog.

New House!

We'll sign the papers tomorrow and then, Lord willing, this will be our new place! We won't be able to move in until early June - and then we'll post some before and after pictures as we get in it!

Irish Car Bomb Cupcakes

I saw this recipe awhile back on Smitten Kitchen and meant to try it for St. Patty's day but we just never got around to it. The Owens were here this weekend which was a good occasion to try these out. And -wow- they are good! With Guinness in the batter, Irish Whiskey in the ganache filling and Baileys in the frosting - they make one great combo.

Peek-a-boo

Dad C took this. We're currently "boarding" with them until we can get into our new place. Every morning Asa heads to the french doors on our room, pulls back the curtains, and tries to see people.

Mike had a business trip in Seattle this past weekend so we all went over, saw the Owens, and helped Bray and Kajsa move out! It was a busy weekend but lots of fun - and, as a result, I hardly got any pictures. Celia, however, took tons!

Asa's One Year Check-up

Asa's one healthy kid! We had his one year check up today (a couple weeks late due to moving) and he handled it all pretty well. He's now 31" long and 21 lbs. He's in the 90% for height, 90% for head size (yes - quite a big head!) and 50% for weight so still pretty long and lean just like Mike. He eats everything in sight, obeys Amara better than us, and spends the rest of his time climbing the stairs.
