First Giveaway!!
I'm really excited to announce our first blog giveaway! Aren't you excited to find out what it is?!
Nothing beats homemade bread but the amount of time, mixing, kneading, rising, and punching down can be just too much, especially if you have errands to run and can't be at home for a 4 hour period.
No knead bread that rises overnight is the answer. What's even better about this recipe is that it tastes like gourmet artisan bread with a crackly crust and soft interior. All that it requires is a dutch oven and a little forethought. Then just throw it in your le creuset and out comes a gorgeous loaf. (We made the Parmesan Black Pepper loaf pictured above and it's fantastic.)
Now here's your chance to win a $40 giftcard towards getting your own le creuset dutch oven!
All you have to do is leave a comment listing your favorite le creuset item (if you have one) or the color you'd want (if you don't). I'm really drawn to the caribbean blue!
Already have tons of le creuset? No worries - the giftcard can go towards any item at one of CSN's stores.
For an extra chance to win, put a link to this post on your blog and leave a second comment here with the linked site.
The winner will be announced Wednesday, August 18th by 6pm PST. US and Canadian readers only.
Good luck!
I'm hosting another giveaway on my design blog so while you're at it head on over there and enter for that one too!

Iced Coffee
It has been way too hot lately for hot coffee in the mornings, so I've started pulling out the blender for iced coffee! A little while back I started freezing the leftover coffee in ice cube trays and putting them in a ziploc bag in the freezer. We've got quite the collection now and the other day I pulled them out for iced coffee!
1 Serving:
3-6 cubes (add as few or as many for your desired thickness)
Milk
Coffee (you can melt a couple cubes if, like me, you don't want a ton of milk in it)
Sugar

Meet Helen Victoria!
Helen Victoria from Mike Church on Vimeo.
We got to meet Helen this past weekend! She's a major cutie! Jerry took most of this footage with their flip and we took some with ours this weekend. The flips are fantastic, small and easy to use! Thanks Mom and Dad.

More House Updates
This past weekend we began to tackle the basement. All my before pictures are from our walk through (I didn't take any of the empty house). But we painted these walls and a few more with Stone Lion (Sherwin-Williams). We want to paint all the doors and trim white but that also requires getting new blinds and with the sun beating in we thought we'd hold off on that till later. We still need to get stuff up on the walls and someday replace the couches with sectionals, etc... but we love projects!
BEFORE
AFTER
And here's a sneak peek at the bedding set I got for the Master Room. We painted the room Knitting Needles (Sherwin-Williams) with white trim. I haven't finished painting the bathroom so I'll wait for pictures of the actual room till it's more complete.
