Beer Bread

It's officially fall and that means that it's time to make beer bread!  This is a great way to use up cheap or light beer. Mike can eat a whole loaf on his own...

3c flour
3tsp baking powder
1c sugar
1tsp salt
1/4c. oil
12 oz beer

400 bake in greased bread pan for 45min ( more or less depending on size of bread pan)

Tea Party

Naphtali caught these with her camera. Amara LOVES playing with dishes and pretending to drink out of the cups. She roped Asa into playing with her... the older "bossy" cousin already! :)

Thinking Christmas!

I've been needing to make stockings for all of us - and even more so with Asa here! So I thought I might try these. I've also really been wanting to do an Advent Calendar. I figure if I'm actually going to finish these in time for Christmas I better start soon!

Such a Stud

I got this tie for Asa before we found out that we were having a boy - I just had a feeling we were and now he can finally wear it!

Hat for Fall

Mrs. L made this hat for Asa and now that it's cold outside he can finally wear it. Isn't it great?

It was so cold that Asa wore his smart wools to bed  - Nana got these for him last Christmas before he was born.
